BRING KUMMOOYEH
TO YOUR SCHOOL

What is a Kummooyeh Seminar?

A Kummooyeh seminar brings the authentic Korean martial arts of sword, archery, and shield directly to your school — led by a certified instructor from the USA Kummooyeh Federation. No prior experience is required for participants.

Seminars are designed for martial arts schools of all styles. Whether your students study Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo, Hapkido, or any other discipline, the addition of traditional Korean weapons and culture is a powerful complement — and a proven driver of student engagement and retention.

What's Included

What a Seminar Covers

검법

Sword Fundamentals

Basic stances, grip, and the foundational sword forms drawn from the Muye Dobo Tongji. Students learn proper mechanics and the philosophical principles behind the movements.

베기

Cutting Practice

A highlight of every seminar — participants experience live blade cutting on paper or bamboo targets. Safe, structured, and consistently the most memorable part of the day.

궁도

Traditional Archery

Introduction to the traditional Korean bow — form, breath control, and release. No experience needed. An excellent discipline for developing focus and patience in students of all ages.

단전

Danjeon Breathing

Guided meditation and internal breathing exercises. An accessible introduction to the contemplative side of Korean martial arts — powerful for all age groups.

교전

Partner Work

Basic paired sword exercises introducing distance, timing, and respect between training partners. Adaptable to the skill level of the group.

역사

History & Culture

A brief introduction to the Muye Dobo Tongji, the origins of Kummooyeh, and its place in Korean martial history — enriching the physical experience with cultural depth.
